Amazing host, great communication and extremely accommodating. We enjoyed it so much we ended up staying an extra night 🙂 Thanks for everything Robert.

We really enjoyed our stay in Robert’s stunning apartment – The views were spectacular, the building was really nice to stay in and Robert was always on hand to help us with our arrival, to suggest things to do, or even just for a quality chat! Thanks again Robert for always being available to point us in the right direction, we will certainly be returning!

Bobbys place was just great. After driving around spain and staying in B&Bs it was great to stay a while in a real house with a kitchen. The views were stunning and the area was nice. Bobby also gave us some tips of places where to visit. Thank you Bob!

The house is nice off the beaten track. It has very nice surroundings where you are able to fully relax. In particular the burning of wood especially late at night while watching the river is charming experience.

Our stay at Bob’s house was incredible! Waking up and having a coffee while looking out over the river made for some very lovely mornings. The back yard was great for grilling out and having dinner each night. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, and Bob made us feel right at home. We had a great time sharing some beers and hanging out with him in the back yard and got into some really interesting conversations. Our group of 3 had plenty of space in the apartment, and there was a really cool bar within walking distance where we could rent kayaks and then lay out in the sun and have a drink once we were finished. This AirBnb was a great find! I would love to return, and highly recommend it. Thanks Bob!

A terrific value in a very scenic spot. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming. He lives upstairs and is helpful but nonintrusive. There is a small, pleasant esplanade by the river a 10-min walk from the house where you can take a dip, grab a beer, rent a kayak. The bathroom is huge and renovated with a nice shower. Given the price point: It’s an unfussy river cottage that’s all about the views.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Will miss waking up to the amazing view of the river and mountains. While the room is basic and quite small it has old world charm and the mattress is extremely comfortable. As a host Bob was very accommodating and let me use the house as though it was my own; It’s pretty big with loads of quiet areas for solitude and to relax, such as the galleria, rooftop terrace and garden. Overall a perfect retreat and looking forward to returning for bit longer next time. Highly…Read more

Splendid! Hard to complain about anything when you got such a view on the rio and such a host as Robert! We felt absolutely welcome and the house was so comfy and charming, we loved the wooden furniture, the comfy beds and the lovely terrace to socialise! Don’t look elsewhere, book here and stay as long as you can! We wish we had never left 😉

Bobby’s is a gem of a place with great light and amazing views of the water. We saw herons, a kingfisher and cormorants during our stay. The balcony is a lovely feature and perfect for an evening meal or breakfast. We swam quite a bit amidst the fish. It’s well placed to check out Ourense too with it’s great tapas scene and hot springs.

My family of five, including a dog, spent eight days in Bobby’s house and left wishing that we could stay longer. From the very moment we accidentally found the house for the last-minute escape from the coronavirus summer, it was one of those trips when everything goes right, with any setbacks being small and eventually turning into big advantages. Bobby is greatly responsible for the warm feeling that we brought back with us from the visit. His amazing hospitality, truly helpful and yet discreet, accommodated all our needs. Bobby provided a supply of tasty water from a nearby spring, a personal hotspot for Internet access, a collection of videos to watch in the evenings, a garden to sit around, and a bodega to play pool in. The old house is charming and spacious. Sunshine pours into the balcony and its two bedroom windows in the morning. It is a pleasure to sit on the balcony during spectacular sunsets over the Miño and watch the neighbors’ chicken settling down on trees for the night. A small grocery store two doors away from the house provides essential food. At the Miño below, one can swim and rent kayaks from Bar Gaddafi. Green hills and valleys are dotted with pretty little villages, including Fontaiño where a bakery sells fresh bread. The locals are very friendly. During our hike on a Sunday afternoon we did not meet anyone on the trail. Overall, this was a wonderful visit hosted by a good kind human in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Lovely host who accommodated our late arrival. We especially loved how peaceful and relaxing the location is. The balcony is a great spot to sit down in the morning, soak in the sun while sipping on a cup of tea. I could have easily stayed there longer. Highly recommend!
